Simple,Complex এবং Compound Sentence.

গত পর্বে আমরা জেনেছি Sentence কাকে বলে, Sentence কাজ বা অর্থ অনুসারে ৫ প্রকার এবং তাদের বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা। আজকে আমরা জানবো গঠনগত দিক দিয়ে Sentence কত প্রকার, কী কী এবং তাদের গঠণসহ বিস্তারিত। Sentence গঠণগত দিক দিয়ে ৩ প্রকার। ১. ‍Simple Sentence ২. Compound Sentence  ৩. Complex Sentence. আসুন তাহলে জেনে নেই বিস্তারিত।

১. ‍Simple Sentence সরল বাক্য: যে Sentence এ একটি মাত্র Subject ও একটি মাত্র Finite Verb বা সমাপিকা ক্রিয়া সেটা Simple Sentence বা সরল বাক্য। যেমনঃ I read a book.

কথনো কখনো এর কোন একটি অংশ উহ্যও থাকতে পারে। যেমনঃ Come here. এখানে ‍Subject (you) উহ্য রয়েছে।

Simple Sentence এ একটি মাত্র Subject ও একটি মাত্র Finite Verb বা সমাপিকা ক্রিয়া থাকবে। যদি একাধিক Verb বা ক্রিয়া আসে তবে অন্যগুলো সবই Non finite verb বা অসমাপিকা ক্রিয়া হবে। যেমনঃ Going home i found my mother. এখানে  found হচ্ছে Finite Verb আর going হচ্ছে Non finite verb.

২. Compound Sentence যৌগিক বাক্য: যে Sentence এ দুই বা তার বেশি স্বাধীন  Clause সংযোগমূলক Conjunction দ্বারা যুক্ত হয় সেটা  Compound Sentence বা যৌগিক বাক্য।

সংযোগমূলক Conjunction গুলো= and,  but,  as well as,  or,  either...or,  neither.. nor, Yet.

যেমনঃ-

And=Sabbir is a good boy and he loves his parents.

But= He is poor but honest.

Or= You may do this work or leave this place.

Yet= He is smart, yet he doesn't go to school regularly.

As well as= Rakib owns a car as well as a bus.

Either or= Either Rakib or Shakil will come here.

Neither nor= I will neither see him nor call tomorrow.

৩. Complex Sentence জটিল বাক্য: যে Sentence এ একটি Principal clause ( প্রধান বাক্যাংশ) এবং এক বা একাধিক Subordinate clause ( অপ্রধান বা নির্ভরশীল বাক্যাংশ)  থাকে তাকে Complex Sentence বলে। যেমনঃ- The boy who came here is my brother. যে ছেলেটা এখানে এসেছিলো সে আমার ভাই।

Complex Sentence এর Conjuction গুলো-

Who= The boy who came here is my brother.

Whose= Kazi is a Bangladeshi architect whose ideas are fundamental to modern design.

Where= I don't know where he lives.

That= He said that he would go.

Whom= I can guess whom you want to see.

What= No one knows what will happen in the future.

Which= Can you tell me which book do you need?

When= I don't know when he will come.

Why= Can you explain why he was absent?

Whatever= I earn whatever i can.

As far as= As far as i know, the man is honest.

As= My friend was absent as he was ill.

Because= I like to fish because fishing is fun.

Complex Sentence এবং Compound Sentence মূলত Clause নির্ভরশীল তাই আগামী পর্বে  Clause নিয়ে আলোচনা করবো।
